The Great Looe River Duck Race

The next Great Looe River Duck Race will take place on 24th August 2008 at around 16:45 (subject to weather conditions) when 5,000 plastic ducks will be floated down the river from Looe Bridge to the Lower Ferry Steps. The ticket holders for the first 14 ducks to complete the course (as determined by the duck catchers in the river) will win cash prizes as shown in the table below. The proceeds will be in aid of the good causes that the Lions' support. The decision of the judges will be final. The results will be published here after the race.

Tickets cost £1 each and are available from any Looe Lion and at any Looe Lion Club event such as the Car Boot Sales and Carnival activities. Tickets are also be available from the following establishments:

• The Joke Shop, Fore Street, East Looe
• Village Gossip, 36 The Quay, West Looe
